Plant Breeder
A plant breeder's job is to carry out and plan breeding development studies and improve varieties of crops. They also modify plant genetics to make plants grow faster, grow larger and increase resistance to disease or infestations. Plant breeders also breed plants in many ways, like inbreeding, crossbreeding and mutating, so plants can grow faster or healthier. Plant breeders work on farmlands or plant growing facilities, they work many hours during the day and conduct studies after shifts and breeders work mostly alone or with a few other individuals on projects. Plant breeders usually require knowledge in chemistry, biology, botany, and advanced plant breeding evolution. The average plant breeder salary is $80,000 yearly.

Cytogenetic Technologist
A Cytogenetic Technologist’s job involves the study of normal and abnormal chromosomes in cells, and the relationship they have to disease and human development. This includes fertility problems, blood disorders, and birth defects. Cytogenetic Technologists examine chromosomes present in blood, amniotic fluid, and bone marrow using slide preparations and tissue cultures. Cytogenetic technologists use karotyping and other techniques to detect genetic abnormalities. A Cytogenetic technologist works in clinics, institutions, private laboratories and hospitals, where their work shifts usually are 8 hours long, and all shifts are considerably flexible. Education required being a Cytogenetic Technologist is knowledge about Cytogenetic Technology, biology, biotechnology and other science courses involving biological studies. The average Cytogenetic Technologist salary is about $55,000 yearly.
